Championing Academic Potential
The Lumiere Thinkers Program is designed to extend and challenge high-ability learners through rich, purposeful experiences that go beyond the core curriculum. Focused on curiosity, creativity, and critical thinking, the program nurtures each student's capacity to question deeply, collaborate effectively, and approach complex problems with confidence. Through a thoughtful balance of enrichment and extension opportunities, students are empowered to discover their strengths, develop new skills, and engage meaningfully with the world around them.
The program offers a diverse range of lessons tailored to students in Years 4–6, with each experience carefully designed to cultivate independent thinking and collaborative problem-solving:
Enrichment Programs
- Story Studio invites students to develop their imagination and expressive confidence through an after school creative arts program including drama, creative writing, art and problem solving.
- Ethics Quest challenges students to explore complex moral dilemmas, building critical reasoning skills and encouraging thoughtful, respectful discussion.
- Innovators Club engages students in STEM and design thinking, where they investigate real-world problems and develop innovative, practical solutions.
Extension Program
- Mathematics Enrichment Club provides an extension opportunity, after school, to deepen mathematical understanding and build advanced problem-solving skills in a supportive, engaging environment.
Inter-School Academic Competitions
A key feature of the Lumiere Thinkers Program is the opportunity for selected students to represent the College in a range of prestigious academic competitions. These experiences encourage students to apply their learning in dynamic, team-based contexts:

- Ethics Olympiad - a collaborative e-thlete competition where teams analyse real-world ethical dilemmas through structured reasoning and respectful discussion
- Tournament of Minds - a creative and critical thinking problem-solving competition, with students tackling open-ended challenges that require innovation and teamwork.
