Mission Statement

"Educating students in Christian leadership for tomorrow's generation."

From little things, big things grow. What began as a vision shared by a small group of faith-filled parents from King's Church in 1980 has flourished into Queensland's largest independent Christian school, serving families across South East Queensland with our mission of educating students in Christian leadership for tomorrow's generation.

Faith-Filled Pioneers with a Vision

Founded by visionary leaders including Pastor Jim Christian, Errol Marshall, Rob and Jan Fuller, Pastor Noel Collins, and Bill and Ruth Werkhoven, King's Christian College was born from a deep conviction that Christian education could transform lives and communities. Through prayer, planning, and extraordinary generosity, these servant-hearted pioneers laid foundations that continue to impact thousands of families today.

A Mission that Shapes Generations

This founding vision has been carried forward by dedicated Christian teachers and staff who believe that quality education leaves the world a better place. Our mission of educating students in Christian leadership for tomorrow's generation is shared by every member of our school community and shapes our culture, our daily interactions, and our plans for the future.

Growing Campuses, Growing Community

Since opening our first campus in Reedy Creek in 1980, we have grown across three communities. Our established Reedy Creek campus, centrally located on the Gold Coast, now offers comprehensive education from Early Learning to Year 12, including our specialised Trade Training Centre. In 2015, we expanded to Pimpama in the rapidly developing northern Gold Coast region, celebrating our first Year 12 graduating cohort in 2024. As we marked 40 years of Christian education in 2020, we opened our Logan Village campus, nestled along the scenic Logan River, where we eagerly anticipate our first Year 12 cohort graduating in 2029.

Helping Children Discover Their God-Given Potential

Each King's campus is unique, yet all are unified by our foundational Christian values and our commitment to educating students in Christian leadership for tomorrow's generation. We work in partnership with parents, believing every child is uniquely created by God with individual gifts and potential to discover.

More Than Excellence in Education

Our commitment to excellence extends beyond academics. While we consistently achieve results above state and national averages, we equally celebrate success in sport, the arts, and character development. King's students of every age are equipped and empowered to grow in Christian character and leadership, preparing them for success beyond the classroom.

The Story Continues

Today, families across the Gold Coast, Logan region, and soon the Ipswich area experience exceptional, affordable Christian education because of the vision and sacrifice of those early pioneers. Their legacy lives on as we continue preparing students not just for academic achievement, but for lives of purpose, service, and faith - truly educating students in Christian leadership for tomorrow's generation.

"Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you."

Matthew 28:19-20
