King's Reedy Creek
Sport
King's Reedy Creek has a proud sporting tradition, with students regularly achieving outstanding results across a wide range of disciplines. Our sporting programs build fitness, confidence and character, while guiding students to pursue excellence in both individual and team performance. King's Reedy Creek athletes continue to represent the College at inter-school, regional, state and national levels with distinction.
“At King's Christian College, sport is about so much more than skills and competition. It is about developing young people of character, integrity and leadership. While talent plays an important role, it is the qualities of humility, perseverance and respect that define true success, both on the field and in life. We offer a wide range of opportunities for students to discover their passions, represent the College in APS and State competitions, and grow through quality training and new experiences. Every student plays a valued role in strengthening our sporting community, and we are proud of the culture they continue to build. Our dedicated coaches provide high-quality instruction and support, helping students build confidence and strive for personal excellence in an environment where they feel both challenged and inspired.”

House Sport Competition
All King's students, from Pre Prep through to Year 12, are placed in one of our four Houses — Finney, Newton, Rayleigh and Tyndale. The House system connects students to a team and offers a sense of belonging from the earliest years right through their school journey at King's.
Students in Years 3 to 12 take part in inter-house competition across three major carnivals each year: swimming, cross country and athletics. Our younger students in Prep to Year 2 enjoy their own age-appropriate ‘mini’ versions, giving them the chance to build confidence, teamwork and House spirit in a fun and encouraging environment.
APS Inter-School Sport
Students from Years 4 to 12 at King's Reedy Creek participate in Associated Private Schools (APS) inter-school sport competition, which is comprised of eight leading independent schools on the Gold Coast. Through APS inter-school sport, our students compete in weekly fixtures and seasonal carnivals that promote skill development, teamwork and strong school spirit.
The Associated Private Schools (APS) competition is made up of the following eight independent schools:
- A B Paterson College
- All Saints Anglican School
- Coomera Anglican College
- Emmanuel College
- King's Christian College (Reedy Creek)
- Somerset College
- Saint Stephen's College
- Trinity Lutheran College
APS fixtures are held during school hours, making participation accessible for students and convenient for families. The structure ensures every student has the opportunity to represent their school, try new sports and build confidence in a supportive, inter-school environment.
From Year 4, APS Sport is a key part of student life at King’s, providing opportunities to develop skills, build lasting friendships and represent the College with pride across two competitive seasons. The program promotes teamwork, resilience and a lifelong love of sport, and welcomes students of all abilities.
