King's Christian College

Scholarships

King's Christian College offers academic and instrumental music scholarships to outstanding students entering selected year levels in 2027. These scholarships provide families with the opportunity to partner with a school that values excellence in education, character and faith.

2027 Scholarship Examination Dates

Scholarship Examinations for 2027 entry will be conducted at our Logan Village, Pimpama, and Reedy Creek campuses on the following date:

Please note that our Pimpama and Reedy Creek campuses will each host one scholarship examination in 2026. We encourage families to submit their applications before the closing date, as late applications cannot be considered.

Academic Scholarships

Academic scholarships at King’s Christian College may be awarded to students who demonstrate exceptional academic ability in our scholarship examination.

  • Pimpama & Reedy Creek Campuses:
    For students entering Years 4 to 11 in 2027
  • Logan Village Campus:
    For students entering Years 4 to 10 in 2027

Instrumental Music Scholarships

Instrumental Music Scholarships may be available for students with advanced musical ability in orchestral instruments:

  • Pimpama & Reedy Creek Campuses:
    For students entering Years 7 to 11 in 2027
  • Logan Village Campus:
    For students entering Years 7 to 10 in 2027

To apply for a music scholarship, students must:

  1. Sit the academic scholarship exam
  2. If eligible, attend an audition arranged by the Performing Arts Department
    (Audition invitations will be sent approximately two weeks after the exam.)

Scholarship Applications

All scholarship applications must be submitted online and must include a copy of the applicant’s most recent school report. A non-refundable $100 application fee is payable at the time of submission.

Students do not need to bring any materials to the scholarship exam, as all required stationery will be provided by King’s Christian College.

On the day of the exam, please arrive 15 minutes prior to the scheduled start time. The examination will take approximately 60 minutes to complete.

All applicants will be notified of their scholarship outcome in writing approximately three to four term weeks after the examination.

Applying for a King's Scholarship

King’s offers two types of scholarships for entry in the following academic year:

  • Academic Scholarships
    Available to students entering Years 4 to 11.
  • Instrumental Music Scholarships
    Available to students entering Years 7 to 11.

King’s Christian College is holding scholarship exams on 16 May 2026 for entry in the following academic year, 2027.

Scholarship exams are conducted on campus at all three King’s Christian College locations:

  • Reedy Creek Campus
  • Pimpama Campus
  • Logan Village Campus

You should select your preferred campus when completing the scholarship application form

Our academic and music scholarships cover the cost of tuition fees at King’s Christian College. They do not cover additional consumable expenses such as uniforms, stationery, excursions or other co-curricular costs.

Depending on the student’s academic or musical ability, a scholarship may cover either the full cost of tuition or a partial reduction in tuition fees.

Scholarships are awarded with the expectation that the student will remain enrolled at King’s Christian College until graduating in Year 12. Scholarships are valid until the end of Year 12, subject to:

  • Continued high standards of behaviour and academic results
  • Ongoing support of the College and its culture by both the student and their family

If a scholarship recipient leaves the College before Year 12 graduation, the College reserves the right to request repayment of any tuition fees previously waived under the scholarship.

Yes. International students are welcome to apply and may be awarded a scholarship of equivalent dollar value off their international tuition fees.

For example:

  • A 100% scholarship may provide a $5,000 tuition discount.
  • A 50% scholarship may provide a $2,500 tuition discount.

Yes. Students who were unsuccessful in a previous scholarship exam may reapply the following year.

Please note: Students may only apply once per calendar year.

Yes. Existing students at King’s Christian College are eligible to apply for both academic and instrumental music scholarships.

Yes. All music scholarship applicants must sit the academic scholarship exam.

While exceptional academic performance is not required, applicants must demonstrate a reasonable level of academic ability as part of the selection process.

To apply, please complete the online scholarship application form available on the King’s Christian College website.

If the application form is not available, this means applications for the current intake are closed.

Important: Before applying, please carefully check the exam date and the application closing deadline. Due to the high volume of applications, late submissions cannot be accepted under any circumstances.

The scholarship application fee is $100, payable online by credit card at the time of submission. This fee is non-refundable under all circumstances, including if your child does not sit the exam.

If you need to correct any details or submit missing documents after completing your application:

  1. Email scholarships@kingscollege.qld.edu.au
  2. Include your child’s full name and clearly outline the correction or additional document(s).
  3. Attach any relevant documents to your email.

We will update your application and confirm by email.

Once your application is submitted:

  • You will receive a confirmation email along with a payment receipt.
  • A reminder email with academic scholarship exam details (including time, location, and procedures) will be sent a few days before the scheduled exam.

Academic Scholarship Exam

No formal preparation is required. The academic scholarship exam is designed to assess each student's current level of ability. It evaluates core academic skills such as critical thinking, problem-solving, literacy, and numeracy, appropriate to their year level.

Students should bring only a drink bottle. All necessary stationery will be provided on the day. Calculators are not required, and the use of smartwatches and mobile phones is strictly prohibited during the exam.

Please note: Any student displaying signs of illness, cold or flu-like symptoms and coughing will not be permitted on campus. Depending on availability, we may be able to reschedule your child's exam to a later date.

Please arrive at your selected campus 15 minutes prior to the scheduled exam start time. Exam locations by campus are as follows:

  • Logan Village Campus
    Enter at 38 Anzac Ave, Logan Village QLD 4207.
  • Pimpama Campus

Please allow approximately 60 to 75 minutes for the exam, after which students will return for collection.

Instrumental Music Scholarships

To apply for a music scholarship at King's Christian College:

  1. Submit an online application form. Please clearly state your child’s instrument and their current level or AMEB grade.
  2. Sit the academic scholarship exam.
  3. After the academic exam, the King's Performing Arts Department will contact you to schedule a scholarship audition, which is typically arranged approximately two weeks after the academic exam.

Yes. All applicants for a King's Instrumental Music Scholarship must sit the academic scholarship exam. While we do not expect music candidates to excel academically, they should demonstrate a reasonable standard of academic ability. Academic results are considered alongside musical talent as part of the overall scholarship assessment.

Applicants are invited to attend an in-person audition at one of our three campuses: Logan Village, Pimpama, or Reedy Creek. Auditions assess your child’s musical skill and suitability for the scholarship. Please review the Music Scholarship Audition Requirements to ensure your child is well prepared.

All applicants will be notified in writing of their scholarship outcome approximately three school weeks after their audition.
