King's Pimpama
Sport
Sport at King’s Pimpama plays an important role in developing students’ physical skills, confidence and overall wellbeing. Our programs focus on building strong foundations in teamwork, character and self-discipline, while encouraging students to strive for personal and collective excellence. King's Pimpama has a growing reputation for success, with our teams and athletes performing strongly in inter-school, regional and state competitions.
“I believe sport has the power to develop Christian leaders for tomorrow's generation. At King's, we are committed to creating sporting pathways that nurture each individual's God-given talents, while shaping character, sportsmanship, and leadership through Christian values.”
Mr Joshua SinclairDirector of Sport, King's Pimpama
House Sport Competition
All King's students, from Pre Prep through to Year 12, are placed in one of our four Houses — Finney, Newton, Rayleigh and Tyndale. The House system connects students to a team and offers a sense of belonging from the earliest years right through their school journey at King's.
Students in Years 3 to 12 take part in inter-house competition across three major carnivals each year: swimming, cross country and athletics. Our younger students in Prep to Year 2 enjoy their own age-appropriate ‘mini’ versions, giving them the chance to build confidence, teamwork and House spirit in a fun and encouraging environment.
Primary School Sport

Carnivals
Swimming, Cross Country and Athletics Carnivals are exciting highlights on the Pimpama sporting calendar, bringing our campus community together through House spirit and enthusiastic participation. Students who perform well at carnival level can progress through district, regional, state and national pathways.
Representative Sport Pathways
Students at our Pimpama campus are encouraged to trial for school-based representative sport through the School Sport Australia pathway. King's Christian College Pimpama sits within the Hinterland District and South Coast Region, with progression opportunities to Queensland teams and the Australian School Sport Championships.
Students at King's Pimpama are able to progress through the following levels of Representative School Sport.
| Representative Sport Pathways | |
|---|---|
District | |
Regional | |
State | |
National |
Hinterland District offers selection opportunities through major carnivals (swimming, cross country and athletics) as well as selection trials for both individual and team sports. All nominations for District, Regional, State and National representation are facilitated through the Director of Sport.
Performance Teams
Our Pimpama Performance Teams provide dedicated students with opportunities to compete beyond weekly sport at regional, state and national tournaments throughout the year. With expert coaching and structured training programs, students are supported to reach their potential and develop the skills, discipline and resilience needed to thrive at higher levels of school sport competition.
As our Pimpama sporting program continues to strengthen, we are committed to expanding these pathways and equipping our athletes for success.
