King's Logan Village
Sport
Sport at King's Logan Village plays an important role in nurturing students' physical skills, confidence and overall wellbeing. As our campus continues to grow, so too do the sporting opportunities available to our students. We are committed to building strong foundations in teamwork, character and self-discipline, while encouraging students to pursue their personal best. With enthusiastic participation and a vibrant sense of school spirit, sport is becoming an increasingly defining part of life at King's Logan Village.
“Sport at King's is about so much more than competition. Every training session, every game, and every challenge is an opportunity to grow — not just as athletes, but as young people of character who lead with integrity and sportsmanship on and off the field.”
Mr Daniel GilmourSports Coordinator, King's Logan Village
House Sport Competition
All King's students, from Pre Prep through to Year 9, are placed in one of our four Houses — Finney, Newton, Rayleigh and Tyndale. The House system connects students to a team and offers a sense of belonging from the earliest years right through their school journey at King's.
Students in Years 3 to 9 take part in inter-house competition across three major carnivals each year: swimming, cross country and athletics. Our younger students in Prep to Year 2 enjoy their own age-appropriate ‘mini’ versions, giving them the chance to build confidence, teamwork and House spirit in a fun and encouraging environment.
Primary School Sport
Primary students from Years 4 to 6 participate in the Logan Associated Primary School Sports (LAPSS) inter-school sport competition. This competition involves three schools:
- Bethania Lutheran School
- Parklands Christian College
- King's Logan Village
LAPSS competitions provide students with valuable opportunities to represent their school, develop their skills, and engage in positive sporting competition.

From Year 4, Logan Village students participate in the Christian Schools Sports Association Queensland (CSSAQ) team sports competition. With a focus on skill development, teamwork and building confidence, these programs are designed to nurture our athletes as they grow and prepare them for higher levels of competition in the years ahead.
