King's Logan Village
Performing Arts
Performing Arts at King’s Logan Village is shaped by our Foundational Values — Learn Passionately, Live Purposefully, Love Faithfully and Lead Diligently. Through both classroom learning and co-curricular activities, students explore Dance, Drama and Music in an environment that encourages creativity, collaboration and personal growth. As they engage in these disciplines, students build confidence, develop teamwork and empathy, and strengthen emerging leadership skills as they pursue their artistic interests.
The Performing Arts program continues to grow each year at our Logan Village campus, giving students opportunities to learn foundational skills and express themselves creatively in group activities in the classroom. Students have many opportunities to showcase their talents throughout the year with the school community, in musical ensembles, choirs, and performances at key school events such as Easter Fest, Country Fair, and the Christmas Concert.
“At King's, Instrumental Music provides a rich and nurturing environment that inspires creativity and excellence. Our passionate and professional staff help students develop their God-given gifts, supporting growth both musically and personally. We cultivate a welcoming community through our bands, orchestras, choirs, and ensembles, where every member feels valued and connected. Above all, we seek to use our talents to honour God, and in so doing, inspire and uplift others.”

Instrumental Music
Instrumental Music at King’s Logan Village provides students with steady, well-supported pathways for musical development, guiding them from introductory skills to more confident and advanced levels of performance. Our experienced specialist music teachers deliver focused high-quality tuition across a range of instruments, encouraging students to develop strong habits of practice, increasing confidence, discipline and a meaningful appreciation for music as they progress.
Year 4 Instrumental Music Program
A key feature of the music pathway at King's Logan Village is the compulsory Year 4 Instrumental Music Immersion Program. Each student learns an orchestral instrument from the Percussion, Strings, Woodwind or Brass families, with specialist teachers allocating instruments to match student interest, suitability and overall program balance. Students participate in weekly lessons and ensemble sessions at no cost to families and are encouraged to practise regularly at home. This program helps students develop strong musical foundational skills and develop the confidence to continue learning their instrument or explore a new option in later years.

Private Lessons
Students at King's Logan Village can enrol in private Instrumental Music lessons across a range of instruments, including piano, voice, drums, guitar, strings, woodwind and brass. These one-on-one lessons provide focused, individualised tuition that supports steady musical growth and the development of strong technical and performance skills. As college-owned instruments are limited, families are encouraged to provide their own instrument or arrange a hire option where suitable.
Ensembles and Performance Opportunities
King's Logan Village offers a range of ensembles for Primary and High School students, including bands, choirs, orchestral groups and specialised ensembles. Participation is free and open to students who have reached the required level of musicianship. Throughout the year, students showcase their talents at key school events such as Easter Fest, ANZAC services, Country Fair and Performing Arts showcases, in addition to dedicated instrumental evenings and other school-based performance opportunities, helping to foster a growing culture of musical engagement on campus.
